Our Non Profit will be holding the 7th annual Three Kings Day Event on Sunday January 10, 2016 and is requesting a $3,000 grant in order to buy over 3,000 toys for this cultural event. Our main purpose for this event is to achieve two main goals: 1.To promotes cultural awareness to our kids and explains to them what Three Kings Day is about 2. To provide toys to more than 3,000 kids whose families might not be able to afford them during the holiday season.

Goal: To provide one toy for every child that attends our Three Kings day event while at the same time bringing awareness to this culture event.

Objective: Our non-profit organization will work diligently to collect 3,000 plus toys.

Methods: Our goals & objective will be accomplished by getting sponsorships and grants from businesses, nonprofit organizations and local municipal participation such as Passaic Police PBA. Once we receive the donations, we will begin the process of looking for the best possible deal that will give us the best quality of toys for the money we receive. Once we decide the best deal we purchase the toys and then the toys are sorted out by age to be handed out the day of the event.

Staff– Every year our staff has consisted of volunteer nurses from Passaic St. Mary’s Hospital. They are in charge of organizing the toys according to age and gender and they also hand them out the day of the event. In addition, we get many other volunteers from the city council, police and fire departments. Our Mayor and the first Lady of the city of Passaic have also assisted on the day of the event.

Evaluation: My event will be evaluated based on whether or not the goal to provide a toy for every child that attends our three king’s day event is met. Unfortunately in past years, shortages in funds have caused the organization not to reach our goal and this is why we ask for your help.

Sustainability– This is a year by year event and our funding doesn’t always come from the same sources. Therefore, our last year’s success does not translate into this year’s being successful. Nevertheless, our determination to insure that our goals are being achieved even after having a larger turnout every year insures our organization will maintain its success.
